China on Wednesday condemned a bomb attack in the capital of Tunisia on Tuesday, mourning the victims.

A bomb attack on a presidential guard bus Tuesday night killed at least 12 people in the heart of the capital.

"China condemns the bomb attack and offers condolences to the victims," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei said at a routine press briefing.

China also expressed sympathy to the Tunisian government, the victims' families and the injured.
