Military officers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states held a meeting on security cooperation here Dec. 5 to 7.

Attendees, mostly military foreign affairs officials, reviewed defense cooperation since August 2014 and exchanged views on high-level interactions and joint military drills for 2016, according to a statement from the SCO.

They agreed to strengthen military cooperation in various sectors to deal with the complicated and unstable international security situation.

Founded in 2001, the SCO consists of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with potential members including India and Pakistan. Endi
