World Cyber Arena (WCA) 2015, a new event for cyber gamers, opened on Thursday in Yinchuan, capital city of northwestern China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The four-day games, which attracted 672 gamers from 32 countries and regions, features 11 events including DOTA 2, Crossfire and Warcraft III.

"I have played the game about six years. Our team Flipsid3 Tactics CF have gained a lot of experience," said Niels Harms, a 22-year-old German.

The WCA 2015 offers 16 million RMB (2.47 million U.S. dollars) as prize money.

The WCA, jointly held by Yinchuan municipal government and Yinchuan International Game Investment Co. Ltd, adopted the competition system used by the World Cyber Games (WCG), previously the largest global electronic sport tournament. Endi
