Shenzhen Customs in south China's Guangdong Province confirmed Sunday that it had intercepted more than 400 iphone 7 and 7 plus during the recent three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

The customs said it dealt with more than 60 iphone 7 smuggling cases Thursday to Saturday. Most offenders had the handsets concealed on their bodies.

Customs police said the accused were mostly paid smugglers, who are paid 200-300 yuan (30-45 U.S. dollars) for each trip. One person was found to have 30 iphones stuck to his body.

The customs said that the offenders would either pay a 15 percent tariff fine or face smuggling charges. Endi
