The artworks exhibition of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso in Moroccan capital Rabat has shown on public more than 100 of Picasso's masterpieces, including paintings, sculptures, pictures, and printings.

In an unprecedented exhibition in the country, "Face a Picasso" has 11 sections, which highlight various facets of Picasso's (1881-1973) artistic genius, which made him one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

In a chronological journey of his masterpieces, visitors move from Picasso's early years to his last portraits, discovering his endless switching between styles so radically different that seem to be the product of several great artists rather than just one.

The exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday and run till the end of July, combines drawing, sculpting, and engraving.

Over 5,000 visitors came to pay tribute to Picasso since its opening, according to Mehdi Qotbi, chairman of the National Foundation of Museums.

On Friday, a record 1,451 people visited the exhibition, he noted. Endit
