HEFEI, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Three people have been sentenced to death in east China's Anhui Province in a case involving more than 130 kg of drugs.
Of seven convicts, another three were sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve, at which point their sentences may be commuted to life-imprisonment, depending on their conduct in the interim.
All the personal assets of the six have been confiscated, according to a statement released Monday by the Anhui Provincial Higher People's Court.
Another defendant was jailed for life, with a 200,000 yuan (30,000 U.S. dollars) fine.
The Supreme People's Court will review the death penalties. Enditem
