BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Former England and Russia coach Fabio Capello had to delay the celebration of his first win in the Chinese Super League (CSL), as his Jiangsu Suning tied with host Beijing Guoan 0-0 on Monday.

"This match was very hard. Both teams were aggressive and had chances to win," said Capello, "I am glad to see that the players were eager to win."

"The dispute after the match wasn't good, and I hope the players of both teams can obey the rules of fair competition." he said.

Twenty years ago, Capello and his AC Milan came to Beijing and had a friendly match against Beijing Guoan.

"The most impressive thing about Beijing was bicycles everywhere at that time. Now, everything in Beijing became very beautiful and interesting. China made impressive progress in many areas, and I hope this kind of progress could also take place in football," Capello said.

This is the second match since Capello took over Jiangsu Suning, and the team lost to Changchun Yatai 0-1 at home in the last round. The Italian got his first win in China on last Thursday, as Jiangsu Suning defeated Henan Jianye in the CFA Cup.

The CSL runners-up in last season ranked the last but one after 14 rounds, and Capello was expected to pull the team out of the relegation zone sooner or later.

Gu Chao, goalkeeper of Jiangsu Suning, delivered several wonderful saves to help the team get one point in Monday's match.

Gu saved a header from Burak Yilmaz and blocked former Barcelona striker Jonathan Soriano's shoot in the 19th minute.

"It is a pity we failed to turn our advantage into victory," said Xie Feng, coach of Beijing Guoan. Enditem
