Jilin City hockey team loses VHL game to Russian side Neva

CHANGCHUN, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Jilin City lost by one free kick to the Russian team Neva on Wednesday night in a Supreme Hockey League (VHL) game held on home turf.

It marks Jilin City's third loss straight during the fifth round of the whole season.

They played overtime and each had scored one by the end, with the Russian team beating Jilin City with a 2-1 victory in the final free kicks.

Neva scored the first goal, but only managed to hold the lead for half an hour, before a Jilin player moved it to a 1-1 tie.

While in the free kicks, the Russian team scored two goals after Jilin City had the first one.

Jilin will next play the South Urals team away in Russia on Sunday. Enditem
