BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Ford (China) has delayed a planned recall of Fiesta ST vehicles in the Chinese mainland as the delivery of spared parts has been delayed.

The recall, involving 435 imported cars produced from February 15, 2013 to November 11, 2014, will start on November 20, more than two months behind former schedule.

Due to defects in the engine cooling system, coolant may leak, bringing the risk of an engine fire.

The company said owners should contact dealers as soon as the recall starts to have the component replaced.

Official data showed 4.8 million defective vehicles were recalled in China in the first half of this year, down 15 percent from a year ago. Enditem
