Morocco arrests 2 IS-linked suspects

RABAT, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan security services have arrested two people with suspected links to the Islamic State (IS) in the northern city of Fez, Morocco's Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The ministry said in a statement that the arrested were linked to a recently busted cell, adding that they were plotting attacks in this tourist destination and spiritual center.

On Oct. 25, the Moroccan police announced the busting of IS-linked terror cell made up of four people.

Military uniform, knives and documents calling for jihad were seized during the operation, the interior ministry said.

Morocco has dismantled 10 terror cells since the beginning of 2017, according to the interior ministry. Enditem
