RAMALLAH -- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Wednesday of halting its basic services, including education, by early September.

"The agency may not be able to provide its services to Palestinian refugees in early September if the financial crisis it is experiencing is not resolved," UNRWA spokesman Sami Mashashaa told the official Voice of Palestine radio. (Palestine-UNRWA-Financial Crisis)

DAMASCUS -- The chemical weapon inspectors visited Syrian capital Damascus' eastern district of Douma on Wednesday, marking their second visit to the site since arriving in Syria on April 14.

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army and law-enforcement forces entered the eastern part of the Qalamoun region north of Damascus on Wednesday, following the full evacuation of the rebels, state news agency SANA reported.
