First competition venue completed for military world games in Wuhan

WUHAN, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- The stadium prepared for fencing competition of 7th Military World Games, which is located in Wuhan Business School, has been well built after five-month construction.

It is the first competition venue that has been finished constructing for the Games.

The organizers announced on Wednesday that the stadium of Wuhan Business School, once was a basketball court, has now been updated to a more intelligent court, with 18 pence route in competition area and training area, and also 2,185 seats are provided.

Wang Qinghua, director of Wuhan Business School, said that the stadium is now qualified for fencing competition, and the relevant staff are under professional training. The equestrian field and swimming venues, also newly built in Wuhan Business School, will be completed at the end of October.

Up to now, eight stadiums for Games are qualified for competition, and 24 are now being constructed. The design and reconstruction of all the stadiums are adequately considered for both games use and post-games demand, according to the organizers.

The 7th Military World Games, slated for Oct. 18-27, 2019 in central China's Wuhan, will feature nearly 10,000 athletes from more than 100 countries and regions competing in 329 events out of 27 sports. Enditem
