DOHA, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Qatar Petroleum (QP) has signed an agreement with China's Oriental Energy to supply the Chinese company with 600,000 metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) annually in five years.

The long-term deal will come into effect in January 2019, said a QP statement on Tuesday.

"The agreement reflects our marketing strategy for promoting direct engagement with end-users, especially in China,'' said Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, QP president and CEO.

"We hope this deal will further enhance our energy relationship with China, as we attach great importance to meeting the needs of the world's largest growing LPG market," he added. Enditem
