WUHAN, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe Cargo Express train dubbed "Bingbing", the official mascot of the 7th Military World Games, started its maiden trip from its hosting city of Wuhan in central China on Thursday.

"Bingbing" will travel west through Russia, Belarus and Poland before it reaches the terminal in Port of Hamburg, Germany.

Besides a full load of over 50 carriages of food, drinks, and mechanical and electrical products made in China, this special train also features a series of colorful and vivid cartoons in which "Bingbing" shows its versatility and deep affection for cycling, ping-pong, sailing and tennis.

"We hope 'Bingbing' will meet more people and make new friends through this trip and send out our warmest invitations to the world to boost global attention and participation," a local official said.

As the official mascot of the 7th CISM World Games slated for Oct. 18-27, 2019 in Wuhan, the image of "Bingbing" was inspired by the Chinese sturgeon, a migratory fish in Yangtze River that is currently a protected species. Enditem
