MANAMA, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain on Tuesday announced a limited cabinet reshuffle by replacing three ministers, while the rest of the top officials heading different ministries remained same.

King Hamad issued Royal Decree (61) forming the new cabinet that includes reappointment of the prime minister, who was assigned to nominate new ministers.

Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was reappointed as deputy premier.

Four other deputy premiers were reappointed in the cabinet along with several key ministers heading the interior, foreign affairs, health, education, oil, labour and social development.

The government is required to resign every four years at the end of parliament and municipal council elections.

Bahrain's national elections ended on Saturday with 40 members, including six women, elected in parliament and 30 elected for the municipal council .

Previous elections were held in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 in Bahrain, a close U.S. ally that hosts its Navy Fifth Fleet. Enditem
