NANCHANG, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Police in eastern China's Jiangxi Province caught 24 drug dealers and seized 24 kg of methamphetamine and magu, a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine, local police announced on Tuesday.

A drug dealer surnamed Zhu caught the attention of Jiangxi police back in March 2017. Investigations showed that Zhu was leading a drug-trafficking network. They purchased drugs from Myanmar and smuggled it back to China to sell in several cities in Jiangxi, police said.

The gang was busted in May 2017 in a joint operation by police in Jiangxi, Shanghai and Yunnan Province.

Information concerning the 2017 case was not released until Tuesday. Enditem
