TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will leave Tehran to Geneva on Tuesday to attend a meeting on the formation of a Syrian constitutional committee, Iran's Foreign Ministry announced.

The United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura will host a joint meeting in Geneva with the high-level representatives from Iran, Russia and Turkey. (Iran-Syria-Geneva)

ANKARA -- Turkey will continue anti-terror operations in northern Iraq until the Kurdish militia has been completely defeated, Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said Tuesday.

During his speech in parliament, Akar vowed that northern Iraq's Sinjar region will not be allowed to become a new stronghold for the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). (Turkey-Iraq)

TEHRAN -- Iranian intelligence minister said Tuesday that the spy services of some neighbors are involved in hatching hostile plots against Iran.

"We are facing conditions that the security services of neighboring countries and even faraway countries have directly taken action against the country's (Iran's) security," Mahmoud Alawi was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency. (Iran-Spying activities)

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi said Tuesday that he will complete filling his 22 cabinet members at next parliament session slated for Thursday despite intense political differences.

"Thursday session of the Council of Representatives (parliament) will witness completing (approval) of candidates of remaining ministries, and I'm ready to submit new names to the vacant ministries," Abdul Mahdi told a press conference after a weekly cabinet meeting. (Iraq-Cabinet) Enditem
