QINGDAO, China, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Qingdao Double Star of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league have fired head coach Fan Bin due to the disappointing results in the domestic league.

Serbian assistant coach Ernest Raden was appointed as the new head coach for the club of Shandong Province.

According to a release of the club, Fan Bin agreed to leave the post as his team is only 17th in the 20-team league.

Qingdao also announced assistant coach Gao Feng is the care-taker of the team before Raden completes the paperwork as the new manager.

Fan, former guard of the national team and a key member of the Bayi Rockets, which dominated CBA a decade ago, became Qingdao's coach before the start of the 2018-19 season. Enditem
