ANKARA -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday said that Russia and Turkey will continue to strengthen security in the Eurasian region.

RABAT-- A total of 15 people with suspected links to the murder of two foreign tourists in Morocco were brought Sunday before the investigating judge in charge of terrorism cases, the attorney general at Rabat's appeal court announced.

On Dec. 17, bodies of two women tourists, a Danish and a Norwegian, were found murdered near the tourist village of Imlil, 60 km from of Marrakech. (Morocco-Murder)

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi forces Sunday waged an operation to hunt down Islamic State (IS) militants east of Tikrit, the capital of Iraq's northern central province of Salahudin, a provincial security source said.

Acting on intelligence reports, a joint force from Iraqi police and paramilitary Hashd Shaabi brigades advanced in the rugged area, some 20 km east of Tikrit, to hunt down IS militants who are active in the area, Major Alaa al-Jubouri told Xinhua. (Iraq-IS)

TRIPOLI -- Libya's Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha on Sunday said the ministry is preparing a biannual plan to secure the capital Tripoli.
