TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit India and Iraq in the coming days for talks on boosting bilateral cooperation, Tasnim News Agency reported Thursday.

Heading a large economic delegation, Zarif is slated to travel to India at the latter's invitation, the report said, without revealing further details. (Iran-India-Iraq-FM Visit)

TUNIS -- Five terrorists were shot dead by Tunisian security forces, Sofien Zaak, the spokesperson of Tunisian Interior Ministry said Thursday.

"It was a preventive operation launched by Tunisia's National Unit of Investigation for Terrorist Affairs and Organized Crime, in the early hours of Thursday in Jelma in Sidi Bouzid governorate in central Tunisia," Tunisian private channel Nessma TV quoted Zaak as saying. (Tunisia-Terrorists)

BAGHDAD -- The UN monthly civilian casualty data showed Thursday that violence across Iraq killed a total of 32 civilians in December 2018, the lowest since the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) began publishing the data six years ago.

A UNAMI statement said that another 32 civilians were also wounded in the terror attacks and armed conflicts in Iraq last month. (Iraq-UN-Civilian)

ANKARA -- A U.S. delegation has made an official offer to Turkey for the sale of Patriot air defense systems, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Thursday.
