CBA Roundup: Liaoning smash Aolong to equal 17-game winning record

BEIJING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Defending champions Liaoning smashed Aolong 119-87 to equal their 17-game winning record in the 28th round of the 2018-2019 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Friday night.

Liaoning led the first period 26-18, expanded the lead to 26 after the third quarter, which made the last 12 minutes garbage time.

Five Liaoning players scored in double figures. Lester Hudson pocketed the game-high 30 points, Guo Ailun had 20 points and 10 assists.

Thomas Robinson got the team-high 24 points and 18 rebounds for Aolong. Xu Mengjun added 20 points.

Nine players of Guangdong scored double-digit points as the league leaders outclassed Shandong 132-97 at home.

Shandong's Jakarr Sampson scored a game-high 35 points, but was not enough to bring the visitors a win.

Yi Jianlian, a former NBA player, had 18 points for Guangdong. Ren Junfei and Zeng Fanri also scored 18 apiece.

Guangdong got a dream start of 19-0 and led by 34 points into the second half.

Elsewhere, Fujian beat Bayi 117-87, Jiangsu defeated Shanghai 126-106, Jilin lost to Zhejiang 104-93. Enditem
