RABAT -- A train derailed Friday morning near Morocco's northern city of Casablanca, local media reported.

BEIRUT -- Political sources said that there are currently talks going on about the possibility of postponing the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit which will take place later this month in Beirut due to the absence of a government in Lebanon, Al Jumhouriya local newspaper reported Friday.

"There are talks among officials in the Secretariat of the Arab League about the possibility of postponing this event and not cancelling it because its cancellation would definitely hurt Lebanon's reputation," the sources said. (Lebanon-Summit)

BAGHDAD -- Six homeless women died and four others wounded Friday when a fire erupted after a riot at a rehabilitation center in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

The incident occurred after a sit-in protest demanding better services, as riot followed and fire erupted on the second floor of the two-storey building, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. (Iraq-Fire)

ADEN -- An airstrike launched by a U.S. drone killed a senior leader of the Yemen-based al-Qaida branch in the central province of al-Bayda on Friday, a security official told Xinhua.
