ANKARA -- A Panamanian-flagged ship on Monday sank in the Black Sea off Turkey's northern province of Samsun, killing six crew members, state-run agency Anadolu reported.

After receiving a call from the ship of 13 crew members, a coastguard team was dispatched 124 km off the Samsun coast and saved seven of them, Anadolu cited the local governor as saying. (Turkey-Sinking-Panamanian Ship)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese General Security Chief Abbas Ibrahim said Monday that he rules out the possibility of a war between Lebanon and Israel while assuring that Lebanon is prepared for the war if it happens, local media reported.

"We do not want a war but we are ready for it while Israel is not prepared for a war even if it wants it," Ibrahim was quoted as saying by the National News Agency. (Lebanon-Israel)

JERUSALEM -- Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday harshly slammed legal authorities over several ongoing corruption investigations in which he is a suspect.

CAIRO -- Egypt's Foreign Ministry condemned on Monday the coup attempt in Gabon, a statement by the ministry said.
