Hong Kong stock market hits a low

HONG KONG, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Hang Seng Index declined 368.94 points, or 1.38 percent, to close at 26298.33 points, with the turnover totaling 73.69 billion Hong Kong dollars on Monday.

As for plates, retail stocks performed slightly better while there was a broad decline. Stock prices dropped across blue chips except several property and finance stocks, with China Petroleum&Chemical Corporation, PetroChina Company Limited and CNOOC Limited leading the decline.

CNOOC lost 4.68 percent to lead blue chips, and PetroChina Company Limited 3.16 percent and China Petroleum&Chemical Corporation 1.63 percent. As for industry, information and technology stocks led the decline. Enditem
