Liaoning extend CBA winning streak to 20 games

BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Lester Hudson scored 34 points to help defending champions Liaoning to smash Qingdao 140-113 on the road to extend their winning streak to a new record of 20 games in the 31st round of the 2018-19 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Tuesday night.

Liaoning led the game from the first quarter with 38-15, and widened the gap to 35 points after the third quarter to wrap up the victory.

Brandon Bass had 32 points for Liaoning, and Guo Ailun added 27 points. Jonathan Gibson of Qingdao scored game-high 52 points, and Zong Zan had 15 points.

Guangdong routed Fujian 139-100 on the road to keep the top place in the league. Malcolm Delaney pocketed game-high 29 points for Guangdong, Sonny Weems had 24 points, and Yi Jianlian added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Guangdong led the game with 27 points after the first half and expanded the lead to 30 points after the third quarter.

Andrew Nicholson scored team-high 21 points for Fujian, and Wang Zhelin had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Elsewhere, Shandong beat Xinjiang 126-109, Shenzhen defeated Tongxi 110-91, Sichuan lost to Jilin 105-94, Jingsu crushed Tianjin 128-106, Zhejing beat Shanxi 113-91. Enditem
