DUBAI, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A private sector forum between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Syria was launched on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE, official news agency WAM reported.

The inaugural UAE-Syria Private Sector Forum, organized by the UAE Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), discussed the ways to enhance potential investment and commercial ties between business people in the two countries.

Investment opportunities in the Syrian private sector, particularly those related to trade, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, logistics and renewable energy, were highlighted in the forum.
