BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Yang on Monday stressed the importance of well implementing policies introduced by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee to encourage, support and guide the private sector's development.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks at a symposium for private entrepreneurs ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival, the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Wang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, stressed forming a new type of cordial and clean relationship between the government and business community, promoting a healthy growth of the non-public sector, and encouraging those working in the non-public sector to achieve success.

Praising private enterprises' indelible contribution to China's reform and opening-up and socialist modernization, Wang said the difficulties and problems currently facing some private companies were obstacles in the process of development and unavoidable pains during the Chinese economy's shift towards high-quality growth, which "from an in-depth perspective mean a crisis for traditional growth patterns but opportunities for new growth philosophy."

He urged CPC committees and governments at all levels to spare no efforts in helping private enterprises solve problems and create a better "policy and legal environment."

Wang also called on the offices of the united front work department and federation of industry and commerce at all levels to promote the communication between the government and enterprises, work with related government agencies to improve and implement policies and help increase private enterprises' confidence in development.

Eight entrepreneurs including Liu Chuanzhi, Zhang Yiming and Lei Jun made speeches at the symposium, which was chaired by You Quan, head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. Enditem
