CBA Roundup: Beijing ease past Sichuan for second straight win

BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Ducks trumped Sichuan Blue Whales 119-92 for second consecutive victory in the 38th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday.

Justin Hamilton got a game-high 29 points and 12 rebounds, while Liu Xiaoyu contributed 20 points for Beijing.

Beijing only got one point lead against Sichuan Blue Whales in the first half.

After Hamilton and Zhai Xiaochuan buried three-pointers in the third quarter, Ducks grabbed a 89-73 lead.

Sichuan launched a 7-0 run in the last quarter and forced Beijing to call a timeout and Hamilton continued to help the Ducks keep the advantage.

After Taruike Jianiyou and Zhai Xiaochuan scored eight points in a row, Beijing nailed their second straight victory.

In Sichuan's side, Huang Rongqi scored a team-high 19 points and Jamaal Franklin earned 16 points.

Xinjiang Flying Tigers breezed off the visiting Bayi Rockets 116-96 to extend the winning streak to four games.

Darius Adams got 38 points and 10 rebounds for the home team, Li Gen obtained 23 points and Fan Ziming had 20 points.

Han Shuo and Lei Meng combined with 47 points, and Fu Hao pocketed 13 points for Bayi.
