ANKARA -- Turkey condemns the European Parliament's decision to recognize Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido as interim president, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Friday, warning that foreign interventions could lead to a civil war in the country.

"Any foreign intervention in Venezuela is not right and will deepen the problem," Cavusoglu said in Romania. (Turkey-Venezuela)

GAZA -- A three-way meeting was held in Gaza on Friday to discuss internal reconciliation, said Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh.

BEIRUT -- An American official said Friday that while the United States is happy about the government formation in Lebanon, it is also worried over Hezbollah's participation in the new cabinet, local newspaper Al Joumhouria reported.
