BAGHDAD -- An Iraqi border guard was killed and another wounded on Saturday when Islamic State (IS) militants attacked their post in Anbar Province on the border with Syria, a local security source said.

The IS militants attacked the post in the southeast of al-Qaim, some 350 km west of the provincial capital Ramadi, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. (Iraq-IS-Attack)

DAMASCUS -- A building in the eastern part of Aleppo city in northern Syria collapsed on Saturday, killing 11 inside it, state news agency SANA reported.

The collapsed five-storey building is located in the Salahuddin neighborhood, which remains largely damaged as a result of the fighting between the rebels and the Syrian government forces before 2016 in the area. (Syria-Building Collapse-Death)

TEHRAN -- At least one was killed and five others injured in a terrorist attack on a military base in the Iranian southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Saturday morning, semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Two terrorists opened fire at the morning ceremony of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in Nikshahr city and killed one IRGC guard and wounded five others, Movahhedi Rad, general prosecutor of Sistan and Baluchestan, told Fars. (Iran-Terrorist-Attack)

RABAT -- At least nine people have died of H1N1 flu in Morocco, Health Minister Anas Doukkali announced on Saturday.
