China's PE sector manages 22.66 tln yuan of assets

BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's securities and futures trading institutions saw the value of the asset management business in the private equity industry total 22.66 trillion yuan (about 3.34 trillion U.S. dollars) by the end of December 2018.

The value of the country's social security fund and enterprise pensions was excluded from the calculation, according to the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC).

The asset management business in securities dealers, fund companies and futures companies amounted to 12.91 trillion yuan, 9.62 trillion yuan, and 127.6 billion yuan respectively.

Hong Lei, head of the AMAC, said last month that China's private equity industry was on a healthy growth track with improvements in the structure of private equity managers. Enditem
