JERUSALEM -- The Israeli cabinet said on Sunday that it was freezing the transfer of about half a billion of shekels (138.22 million U.S. dollars) to the Palestinian National Authority (PA).

The Security Cabinet issued a statement saying the decision followed a law passed by the Knesset (parliament) last July, calling the government to withhold these funds. The law was approved in response to payments that the PA transfers to families of prisoners jailed in Israel over attacks of Israelis. (Israel-PNA)

ISTANBUL -- Turkish police on Sunday detained at least four foreigners in the northwestern province of Bursa over their suspected links to the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

Counter-terrorism units captured the suspects in the Mudanya district, including two women sought with a red and a blue notice, the private NTV broadcaster said. (Turkey-IS Suspects)

TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan's ambassador to Tehran on Sunday over the recent deadly terrorist attack on Iran's border guards.

RIYADH -- Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Sunday signed with Pakistan eight agreements worth 20 billion U.S. dollars, Al Arabiya TV reported.

One of the agreements is about Saudi Arabia's Aramco-run refinery in the Pakistani port of Gwadar, one of the world's largest refineries, at a value of 10 billion U.S. dollars. (Saudi-Pakistan) Enditem
