WUHAN, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Police in central China's Hubei Province seized 4.2 tons of drugs and over 62 tons of drug-making tools in 2018, according to the provincial public security department.

It is the largest amount of drugs captured in Hubei in recent years, ranking third in the country, next to Yunnan and Guangdong, according to an officer from the anti-drug team.

Hubei police also busted 227 drug gangs consisting of three members or more in 2018, with three suspects hunted down from overseas. About 28,000 drug users were detained. Enditem
