BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Three goals from a pair of Brazilian strikers Alex Teixeira Santos and Eder Citadin Martins helped Jiangsu Suning beat Tianjin Teda 3-2 in the first round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

After a scoreless first half, Teixeira's shot was stopped by the goalkeeper but his follow-up effort broke the deadlock for the hosting Jiangsu Suning in the 43rd minute.

A quarter later, the referee had no hesitation in awarding a penalty as Tan Wangsong of Tianjin Teda kicked down Eder in the zone and Eder managed to enlarge it to 2-0.

Tianjin Teda pulled a goal back as Zhao Honglue's passing hit defender Gabriel Paletta and made it into the net.

Eder earned second penalty 10 minutes later and Teixeira slotted the ball into the net directly.

Brazilian Johnathan scored a late goal in the 89th minute for Tianjin Teda.

Elsewhere, Henan Jianye tied the visiting Dalian Yifang 1-1 as the new signing striker Henrique Dourado broke the deadlock for the hosts in the first half and Belgian international Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco hit the equalizer for Dalian Yifang in the injury time.

Henan Jianye got a freekick in the 23rd minute as the 29-year-old Dourado, top goalscorer of Brazil's Serie A in 2017, kicked the ball into the net, also his first goal in CSL. But he was taken by the ambulance to the hospital in the first half.

After Yang Shanping of Dalian Yifang walked away with two yellow cards in the first half, the 10-men Dalian Yifang managed to grab one point as Carrasco hit a right-footed shot into the left corner of the net in the injury time.

The second round of CSL will kick off next Friday. Enditem
