AMMAN -- Iran on Tuesday released three Jordanians who were detained a few months ago after mistakenly entering the Iranian waters from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Iranian authorities released the three Jordanians and handed them to the Jordanian diplomats at the embassy in Tehran and preparations started for them to return, said Jordan's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah in a statement. (Jordan-Iran)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese State Security arrested Tuesday three Syrian nationals belonging to the Islamic State (IS) group in Beirut and Bsous, the National News Agency reported.

After further investigations, the suspects admitted to belong to the IS and to have worked in favor of the extremist group in Syria. (Lebanon-IS)

DAMASCUS -- At least seven civilians were killed and 14 others wounded on Tuesday by a land mine explosion in Syria's northern Aleppo province, state news agency SANA reported.
