BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks almost fell across the board Wednesday, with computer-related and husbandry shares leading the declines.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.09 percent to close at 3,026.95, while the Shenzhen Component Index slumped 2.53 percent to 9,592.06, reversing the strong rally on Tuesday.

Combined trading volume of the two indexes shrank to 1.05 trillion yuan (around 156.7 billion U.S. dollars), from 1.14 trillion yuan the previous trading day.

Most stocks fell, with losers outnumbering gainers by 1,086 to 343 on the Shanghai bourse and 1,663 to 445 on the Shenzhen bourse.

Computer-related shares led the declines, with the sub-index for the board down 6.82 percent. Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co. Ltd. plunged 9.58 percent to finish at 25.3 yuan.

Shares in the husbandry sector also lost heavily, stopping the upward trend in the past two days. Shandong Minhe Animal Husbandry Co. Ltd. declined by the daily 10-percent limit while Henan Huaying Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. lost 5.74 percent to 9.03 yuan.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board, slumped 4.49 percent to close at 1,693.86. Enditem
