TEHRAN -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said here Monday that Iran will take legal action against the U.S. sanctions, state IRIB TV reported.

The Iranian ministries of foreign affairs and justice will file a legal case in the Iranian courts against the American officials who designed and imposed sanctions on Iran, said Rouhani. (Iran-U.S.-Sanctions)

ANKARA -- Turkey and Iran has launched a joint operation against Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) on Monday, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said.

The two countries started a joint operation against PKK on Turkey's eastern border in the early morning, Soylu said in Mediterranean city of Antalya, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency. (Turkey-Iran-PKK)

AMMAN -- Two Jordanians who were injured last Friday in Christchurch terrorist attacks are in critical conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan said Monday.

ADEN, Yemen -- Unknown gunmen opened fire and shot dead a pro-government army officer along with his bodyguard in Yemeni southwestern province of Taiz on Monday, a security official told Xinhua.
