Elkeson's last-gasp goal help Shanghai SIPG to beat Wuhan 2-1

BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian striker Elkeson scored in the last minute of the game to help defending champion Shanghai SIPG beat promoted Wuhan Zall 2-1 at home on Sunday in the fifth round of 2019 Chinese Super League.

Hulk broke the deadlock for Shanghai SIPG in the 68th minute through a penalty kick because Lyu Wenjun was stumbled in the box, and Li Hang of Wuhan equalized after connecting a pass from Brazilian Leonardo Baptistao pass 11 minutes later.

Elkeson scored in the 94th minute to seal the victory for Shanghai SIPG who got four wins in five games in Chinese Super League this season.

Beijing Guoan extended their winning streak to five games to lead the league table after beating Henan Jianye 2-1 on Sunday night through Brazilian midfielder Renato Augusto and Li Ke's goals.

10-man Dalian Yifang beat Shandong Luneng 1-0 on the road to get their first victory of the season thanks to Mu Xiekui's header in the 44th minute.

Beijing Renhe also claimed their first victory on Sunday after a shock 2-1 home victory over powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande thanks to Chen Jie's last-gasp goal. Enditem
