NANNING, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The first edition of the Jingxi International Marathon will be held on April 21, 2019 in Jingxi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.

Organizers say the event will include marathon, half-marathon, mini-marathon and fun run with some 6,700 runners from China, the United States, France, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Jingxi, known for its unique ethnic culture, is a border city of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The design of this year's medal is inspired by Xiuqiu, silk balls made with stripes of silk. Xiuqiu, with colored flowers and birds embroidered on it, is a traditional Chinese pledge for love among China's Zhuang ethnic group. Enditem
