Sponsored by the national museums of China and 12 other countries, the exhibition features selected cultural relics that display the diversity of civilizations along the land and maritime Silk Roads.

-- Swingin' the Popular Song: Willie Jones III Quartet featuring Christie Dashiell, at Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, 7:15 p.m.

Born in Los Angeles, Jones' earliest exposure to music was through his father Willie Jones II. With an unparalleled style of rhythmic expression, drummer Willie Jones III is one of the world's leading jazz drummers.

The exhibition hails young people who have made great contribution to social development both at times of national crisis and since the reform and opening-up drive in the late 1970s. Nearly 100 pieces of works are displayed to inspire the young generation to live up to their youth. Enditem
