DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army on Saturday denied reports about alleged clashes between Iranian and Russian forces in eastern and northern Syria, the state news agency SANA reported.

The Syrian army said in a statement that the reports are completely untrue about clashes between the Iranian and Russian forces in the eastern province of Deir al-Zour and the northern province of Aleppo. (Syria-Iran-Russia)

DAMASCUS -- At least 260 children have died as a result of the tough humanitarian situation in a refugee camp in northeastern Syria since the beginning of 2019, a war monitor reported on Saturday.

The children are part of hundreds of people who have died in the al-Hol camp in the Kurdish-controlled part of Syria's northeastern province of Hasakah. (Syria-Camp-Children)

MANAMA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese technology group Wonder News announced on Saturday the launch of its regional headquarters in Bahrain, which will offer services to the clients of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The announcement was made by the Wonder News CEO Ou Zhenxing during a press conference with Shaikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al-Khalifa, head of Capital Governorate which covers Bahrain's capital Manama. (Bahrain-China-Headqaurters)

DAMASCUS -- At least 35 government forces have been killed over the past 48 hours as a result of intense Islamic State (IS) attack in eastern Syria, a war monitor reported on Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the IS militants have launched intense attacks on Syrian government's forces in the desert region in eastern Syria since April 14. (Syria-IS) Enditem
