SHANGHAI, April 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:

Troye Sivan: The Bloom Tour

Date: April 22

Venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena

Introduction:

Superstar Troye Sivan is bringing his "The Bloom Tour" to Shanghai. Sivan was born in South Africa but got his start in his adopted hometown of Perth, Australia. He appeared as a young Wolverine in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and became famous for his good looks. His debut album, 2015's Blue Neighbourhood, introduced him to the pop mainstream, landing in the Billboard Top 10 with the singles "Wild" and "Youth."

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre: White Water, Dust

Date: April 24-27

Venue: Shanghai Oriental Art Center

Introduction:

"White Water" and "Dust" are two important dance works of Taiwan Cloud Gate Dance Theater. The former shows women in long white skirts walking into rivers. The poetic dance awakens people's memories of natural scenery; Dust is a work full of intense conflict and sadness. It was choreographed by Taiwanese choreographer Lin Huai-min in commemoration of World War I and II.

Exhibition: Silver in History of Chinese Currency

Date: April 26

Venue: Shanghai Museum

Introduction:

Shanghai Museum's new exhibition "A Millennium of Shining: Silver in the History of Chinese Currency" will open on April 26. This exhibition demonstrates the important role of silver in Chinese history as well as the evolution of China's fiscal and tax system. Among the exhibits are cultural relics recovered from the Wreck of Nanhai I in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).
