SHANGHAI, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:
Jazz Spring 2019
Date: April 29-May 2
Venue: Shanghai Center Theater
Introduction:
JZ Spring 2019 will be held at Shanghai Center Theater from April 29-May 2. The four-day music feast will feature over a hundred local and international jazz musicians including big names such as Laura Fygi, John Daversa and Journey drummer Steve Smith. Artists will play across multiple stages, and all outdoor performances will be free.
Beijing Opera: New Dragon Inn
Date: April 30-May 1
Venue: Shanghai Grand Theater
Introduction:
A new Peking Opera production, New Dragon Inn, which has been adapted from a movie of the same name, will premiere at the Shanghai Grand Theater from April 30 to May 1. The new production will star renowned Peking Opera artist Shi Yihong, who will play two roles in the performance.
Pioneering: Chinese Artists Abroad in France and Chinese Modern Chinese Art (1911-1949)
Date: March 16 - June 9
Venue: Dragon Art Museum, West Bund
Introduction:
The exhibition focuses on the history of Chinese artists studying in France in the first half of the 20th century, and show more than 160 paintings, sculptures and research materials of more than 40 renowned Chinese artists, including Xu Beihong, Lin Fengmian, Changyu and Pan Yuliang. Enditem
