BEIJING, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The following is a list of major shows, concerts, exhibitions and events in China on May 18:

-- Midnight Rose: Lisa Ono Jazz Concert

Time: 10:30 p.m.

Location: Concert Hall of the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing

Chinese jazz fans will have the chance to experience Lisa Ono's signature natural voice, rhythmic guitar playing and charming smile at a grand finale of the NCPA May Festival from May 2 to 18.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lisa Ono spent her childhood in Brazil and started singing and playing guitar at 15 years old under the influence of her father.

-- Yannick & The Philadelphia Orchestra Concert

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: Concert Hall of the NCPA, Beijing

As the closing concert of the NCPA May Festival 2019, scheduled from May 2 to 18, it brings together three classic and contemporary programs, including a world premier of the vocal concerto "Murals of Dunhuang·The Deer of Nine Colours" (for Soprano and Orchestra) by Tan Dun, one of China's most celebrated composers.

The concert will be presented by the Philadelphia Orchestra, one of the world's preeminent orchestras, and will be conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. It will also feature Lei Jia, a renowned Chinese soprano soloist.

-- Choral Concert with the Københavns Drengekor

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: Concert Hall of the Shanghai Oriental Art Center

In celebration of the 69th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and Denmark, the Københavns Drengekor, a prestigious Danish children's choir will stage a concert for choral music lovers in Shanghai on Saturday night.

Established in 1924, the choir has performed in over 30 countries, and will sing well-known classic pieces such as Franz Schubert's "Ständchen," Franz Liszt's "On Wings of Song" and "Auld Lang Syne," along with a series of Nordic folk songs to mark the occasion. Enditem
