BAGHDAD -- An explosion was heard in the heavily fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad in Iraq on Sunday evening, while sirens could be heard following the blast, a security source said.

"Katyusha rocket hits central Baghdad's Green Zone without causing any casualties," Yahya Rasoul, spokesman of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, said in a statement. (Iraq-Rocket Explosion)

KUWAIT CITY -- Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Li Minggang welcomed on Sunday the participation of the Kuwaiti businessmen in the fourth China-Arab States Expo, to be held in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, on September 5-8, 2019.

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army denied on Sunday the rebels' claims that chemical weapons were used in the countryside of Latakia Province in northwestern Syria, state news agency SANA reported.
