-- Rye Music Festival 2019 - Beijing

Location: Changyang Music Theme Park, Beijing

Rye Music Festival is back for another year with a star-studded lineup of local and international acts. The second day of the major event boasts impressive headliners such as Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou, musician Faith Yang, and Japanese singer Jun Togawa.

-- Russian Model Orchestra Chamber Music Concert

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: Multi-functional Theater of the National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing

The Russian Model Orchestra Chamber, a world-famous art troupe located in Saint Petersburg, will round off their weekend in Beijing with another batch of fine pieces by composers mainly from China and Russia on Sunday night.

On March 20, 2018, the orchestra celebrated its 130th birthday and became the only national music art group of Russia receiving support from the President Putin Cultural Foundation. Founded in 1888 by a great music pioneer Vasily Vasilievich Andreyev, the orchestra won worldwide attention and recognition upon its establishment.

-- Screening of "Ryuichi Sakamoto: async Live at the Park Avenue Armory"

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Location: OmS Theater of MOETOWN, Shanghai

"Ryuichi Sakamoto: async At The Park Avenue Armory" is a live performance film captured during an intimate concert by Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in New York City. Filmed during the production of "Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda," a recent documentary about the same artist’s life journeys and creative process, the performance marked the first public unveiling of Sakamoto’s new opus "async," hailed as one of the best albums of 2017 by esteemed publications such as Rolling Stone and Pitchfork.
