TEHRAN -- Iran does not want any war in the region amid the rising tensions with the United States, Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-Ravanchi was quoted as saying by official IRNA news agency on Saturday.

"Iran does not desire war in the region, neither with the United States nor with any other country," said Takht-Ravanchi. (Iran-War-Region-U.S.)

BAGHDAD -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived on Saturday in Baghdad on an official visit to discuss bilateral ties and regional situation amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, the Iraqi official television reported.

Zarif is scheduled to hold meetings with top Iraqi leaders, including Iraqi President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, and Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, the state-run Iraqiya channel said. (Iran-Iraq-Visit)

ADEN, Yemen -- At least 16 Yemenis were killed on Saturday in fierce clashes between government forces and the Houthi rebels in the southwestern province of Taiz, a security official told Xinhua.

A number of military units loyal to the government launched an attack on positions held by the Houthi rebels in the northern outskirts of Taiz, sparking fierce armed clashes, the local official said on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Confrontations)

DUBAI -- SOLAR, a Chinese container ship with a capacity of 21,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit), arrived on Saturday at the CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal of Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
