AMMAN -- U.S. President Donald Trump's senior advisor Jared Kushner and other U.S. officials are starting a Middle East tour to drum up support for a U.S. peace plan, local Ammon News Agency in Jordan reported on Tuesday.

Kushner is accompanied by Trump's envoy for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt and U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook. (U.S.-Amman)

TEHRAN -- The U.S. President Donald Trump should change its behavior towards Iran in action, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said on Tuesday.

"Iran pays more attention to action and behavior than the words in the U.S. policy," Mousavi said in a reaction to Trump's recent remarks in Japan that U.S. wants negotiations as it does not seek regime change in Tehran. (Iran-U.S.)

ANKARA -- Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said the delivery of Russian S-400 systems to Turkey "might be delayed until after June," local media reported on Tuesday.

"They may not catch June, but will arrive in following months. The process has started," Akar said late Monday in an interview with private broadcaster HaberTurk. (Turkey-Russia-S-400)

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi Tuesday said that he will visit the United States and Iran soon to discuss the situation in the Middle East, including the Iranian-U.S. crisis.
