Alisa Weilerstein Cello Recital

Introduction:

Born in 1982, Weilerstein made her first Carnegie Hall appearance with the New York Youth Symphony in March 1997. Her major career milestones include an emotionally tumultuous account of Elgar's concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic and Daniel Barenboim in Oxford for the orchestra's 2010 European Concert. This time, J.S. Bach's Cello Suites will be played.

Dang Thai Son Piano Recital

Place: Symphony Hall, Shenzhen Concert Hall

Introduction:

Vietnamese-Canadian pianist Dang Thai Son was propelled to the forefront of the musical world in October 1980, when he was awarded the First Prize and Gold Medal at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. It was also the first time that a top international competition was won by an Asian pianist. His international career has taken him to over 40 countries, and has played with numerous world-class orchestras such as The Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal and NHK Symphony.

Drama: One Sentence Worth Ten Thousand

Introduction:

The drama is based on the novel "Someone to Talk To" written by Liu Zhenyun, winner of the 8th Mao Dun literary Prize. The novel has been translated into more than 20 languages and has been called the Chinese version of "One Hundred Years of Solitude."
