Looking Back: for the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai (Exhibition)

Introduction:
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai, the Long Museum (Pu Dong) is holding a special exhibition "Looking Back: for the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai." The exhibition presents works created since the 1930s, tracing the development of the great city of Shanghai.
Musical: Cats

Venue: Shanghai Cultural Square
Introduction:
Originally adapted from TS Eliot's whimsical poems, Andrew Lloyd Webber's long-running hit musical "Cats" is coming to Shanghai again this summer. It is an English-language production with Chinese subtitles.
Drama: White Deer Plain
Date: June 7-9
Venue: Shanghai Oriental Art Center
Introduction:
Writer Chen Zhongshi's historical novel, Bai Lu Yuan ( White Deer Plain), tells an epic tale of the complicated relationship between the three generations of the two peasant families feuding over land on the vast Plain of Shaanxi Province. Since 2015, Shaanxi People's Art Theatre has adapted the novel into a drama, and this version is appraised as very authentic.
